About Lee

Lee Ryan Novak grew up in Toms River, New Jersey. His parents, Barry and Linda worked as teachers and later guidance counselors in the area. Barry is now retired and Linda continues to work as an educational consultant while also serving as a Trustee on the Ocean County College Board. Lee has one younger brother, Adam who is an artist living in Brooklyn, New York. Lee left Toms River to attend Drew University where he graduated Magna cum Laude. He later received a Master's of Community and Regional Planning degree from the University of Oregon. After graduate school, Lee moved to Aspen, Colorado and spent seven years there. He spent the 1st six months skiing and working as a bellman for the Hotel Jerome. Later, Lee began his career working as a research associate for the Rocky Mountain Institute and then as a project manager for the Aspen Housing Authority before starting his own real estate development consulting firm. Lee currently works as a project manager for AF Evans, Inc., a real estate development company in San Francisco.

About Kerry

Kerry was born in New York City and grew up in Wilton, Connecticut. Her father, Bill worked as an executive at American National Can Company and now is the president of the Board of Finance for the town of Wilton. Her mother, Kathleen is a Real Estate agent for Coldwell Banker in Wilton. Kerry is the oldest of 3 children. She has a younger sister, Jennifer who is married with two children and lives in Wilton and a younger brother Billy who lives just a few towns away in Darien. Kerry left Wilton to attend college at Villanova University. After college Kerry spent a year working as a ski instructor in Aspen, Colorado. In 1991, Kerry returned to Connecticut and received her Masters of Arts in Education at the University of Bridgeport. After graduating, Kerry decided to postpone teaching and returned to Aspen where she began a career in event management. She worked first as a banquet manager for the Hotel Jerome, then as the special event manager for the chamber of Commerce and then for Aspen Skiing Company as the event marketing manager. Over the years, she has organized many large events including the Food and Wine Magazine Classic and World Cup Ski Racing. In 2001, Kerry was invited to join the 2002 Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City Utah. She moved to Salt Lake City and worked as a Venue Manager until the completion of the games last year. Kerry is currently working on contract projects while looking for full-time employment in San Francisco.
